NICU Nurse, public speaker, and AmeriCorps alum. After graduating from the University of Rhode Island in 2017, Raquél took the NCLEX exam four times before passing and finally becoming a Registered Nurse; a challenge that she often speaks on and coaches nursing students through. As a multiple attempt tester and night shift nurse , Raquél recognizes the importance of self care before and after entering the profession. Outside of her career, Raquél remains an active advocate for national service programs such as Service Year Alliance, and enjoys public speaking and leadership opportunities. She was honored to have been named a Forbes Fellow in 2018 and TEDx Speaker in 2019.

I'm Raquél, a Registered Nurse passionate about storytelling with focuses on healthcare equality, fashion diversity, and social justice. My love for storytelling began in 2013 when I became involved in the Miss America Organization. After extensive media/marketing and interview training (plus a first runner-up placement for Miss RI), my content creation career began.
